All my fertility clients recieve a copy of this article which I think explains how Chinese Medicine views fertility, charting and the menstrual cycle beautifully:

I recommend that they have a look at these books and find one that speaks to them (or that is kept in their local library). Chinese Medicine is an art and practitioners all bring their own interpretations and practices to it.  Its important to find a practitioner that you feel comfortable with, the same applies to books.

In Chinese Medicine the heart or spirit and the reproductive system are intimately linked, so I also recommend that couples find ways to nourish themselves and use their preparation time to explore any outstanding or ongoing emotional issues and stress. Nourishing yourself might be meditation, yoga, long baths, massages, walks on the beach, cooking or hanging out with friends – whatever helps you relax and return to your centre.
